As the leading legal counsel to the regional business, Zhang offers a full range of legal service to China Mainland, HK, Macau and supports other Asia projects relying on her competent multinational legal expertise. She contributes to an all-dimensional leap for the regional legal system of the company and built several legal and compliance process and structures for the Hermes Asia Pacific office in Hong Kong and Macau from the ground up.
Zhang utilized excellent public and interpersonal communication skills in leading projects like drafting corporate AI use guidebook, reorganizing regional general terms and conditions for online and offline business development, reorganizing to optimize customer data compliance process to favor various customer touch points communication and compliance.
Additionally, Zhang is an impressive project and team leader, she led the creditor's rights declaration procedure, developed a negotiation strategy, and coordinated effectively among the company, debtor, administrator, and court, ultimately extending a supply contract by another 10 years, and successfully benefiting the company with about 0.3 billion earnings during an arduous debtor's liquidation during a difficult period of the company. Furthermore, Zhang had been the reginal counsel to the Airliquide Climate Committee, where she led the drafting of the group’s first energy and climate blueprint and provided industry insights during the consultation on the construction of the China Emission Trading System.
From an academic perspective, Zhang has been a mentor in the Melbourne Law School Mentorship Program for three years, mentoring three master's degree students, two from China and one from Germany. She also served as a Jurisdiction Observer (Asia) and Advisor on Regulations for the Innovation Technology Blue Ribbon Project at the University of Melbourne.
In addition, Lawyer Zhang has dedicated herself to public welfare. She joined the China Bone Marrow Bank 13 years ago and provided free legal services at Legal Aid in Xuhui, Shanghai, from 2012 to 2014.
Zhang has also focused on her personal career development, applying for and completing a postgraduate research program at the University of Melbourne, where she obtained her LLM in Banking and Finance during her 15th year in the legal profession.
