Dedicated to the field of family law, Yvonne has been identified by Doyles as one of the Leading Recommended HK Family and Divorce Lawyers in 2023 and the youngest female partner in this category. Yvonne is also recognized as a recommended lawyer in Private Client and Family by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2024. Yvonne has worked extensively with local and expatriate clients on applications for divorce, financial applications and children matters. She thrives and has a particularly strong interest in complex children applications including Hague Convention, Wardship, surrogacy, adoption, relocation, custody, care and control and access. Besides, Yvonne has experience attending and advising clients at mediation, hearings and high conflict trials where she works frequently with experienced Counsel. She has experience with helping clients obtain adoption orders, maintenance orders for children born out of wedlock, applications for interim financial orders against deceased persons’ Estates and Committee Orders under Part II of the Mental Health Ordinance (Cap.136). She has also extensive experience in dealing with intervener joinder applications within divorce proceedings, having recently completed an 18-day High Court trial in September 2024.

Yvonne's outstanding legal expertise is highlighted in many of her cases. She has successfully obtained a permanent relocation order for a Japanese wife in a 5-day trial with a cost order against the husband. She has successfully varied a final ancillary relief order for a husband to pay maintenance to his wife to HK$0 per month after undergoing a 2-day trial at the Family Court. She has successfully obtained an order for joint custody for 2 young children for a father after undergoing a 12 day, very complex child custody and relocation trial.

Yvonne also has many personal achievements. She is a member of the Hong Kong Family Law Association. She is a Chambers & Partners' author, having participated and contributed to External Publications for the Family Law practice for 2023-2024. For upcoming publications in 2025, she will be authoring "Thought Leadership for Hong Kong for the 2025 Family Law Guide - Hong Kong" for Chambers and Partners. Yvonne has also represented high-net-worth individuals and clients that are often featured in Tatler HK, recently settling a deal for her Husband client, with less than 30% of the asset pool of HK$700m.
