LexisNexis Student Ambassador Programme

As a student ambassador, I was not only able to assist my schoolmates in developing their research skills, but also enhance my own skills by familiarising myself with the research tools offered by LexisNexis. It was very rewarding when we received positive feedback from students who participated in our workshops, saying that they found the workshops helpful.

I am grateful to LexisNexis for arranging a valuable internship opportunity at Harney Westwood & Riegels. During my week at Harneys, I had the privilege of working alongside the firm's Corporate team. This unique experience allowed me to gain insights into the inner workings of an offshore law practice. My supervisor was exceptionally generous with his time, taking the initiative to teach me about various aspects of his practice as a corporate lawyer. I thoroughly enjoyed this internship and am very honoured to be given such opportunity.

As a Student Ambassador with LexisNexis Hong Kong in 2023-2024, I honed my legal research skills and built valuable connections in the legal community. My performance as Best Performed Student led to an internship at Harneys law firm, where I shadowed Raymond, a partner in the corporate team whom I deeply respect. This experience enhanced my knowledge of offshore companies and corporate law. I'm particularly grateful for the exceptional LexisNexis team and Raymond's guidance, which made both experiences truly unforgettable. These opportunities have significantly shaped my legal career aspirations and provided a strong foundation for my future in the field.

Joining the LexisNexis Student Ambassador Programme 2018-19 was a valuable and rewarding experience. Apart from building up my network with law students from different universities, the research skills I mastered through the training sessions enable me to utilise LexisNexis in my studies as well as my internship with law firms. I am well-equipped for my legal career.

The training sessions provided under the LexisNexis Student Ambassador Programme has definitely boosted my legal research skills, and has helped me a lot practically during my studies and internships. Adding this role in my resume has also improved my employability in the sense that many employers are interested in my duties and gains being a LexisNexis Student Ambassador. Overall, it is a very positive and rewarding experience!

I am honoured to be part of the LexisNexis family as a student ambassador at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. This programme offers me a golden opportunity to master this useful research companion in my study, which keeps myself on top of the evolving legal development in future training and practice. I am grateful for legal research skills, technological awareness and precious friendships found in LexisNexis!
