He then secured a critical court decision in the landmark case of Hwang Joon Sang to permit digital service via secure data rooms, a procedural breakthrough that established the infrastructure for cyberspace litigation. Building on these advances, Joshua was co-advocate in the landmark civil action against JPEX (coliqually known as"Hong Kong's FTX"), demonstrating that blockchain wallet holders, once considered unreachable, could also be targeted and sued via conventional legal channels. These interlinked victories culminated in Hong Kong’s first enforceable tokenized injunction order in Worldwide A-Plus, directly deploying court orders on the blockchain to protect and recover digital assets. The resulting gold standard for digital-asset dispute resolution was not achieved in isolation, but as the final product of deliberately sequenced cases, each contributing essential legal and technical innovations to the next.

At Prosynergy, Joshua worked as part of a regulatory consultancy and compliance solutions provider that have helped pioneer and license the overwhelming majority of Hong Kong’s regulated crypto exchanges. His knowledge in AML protocols and risk management has enabled him to be advisor for crypto licensing, regulation, and compliance in the Web3 sector, contributed to the best practices for virtual assets and fintech platforms.
