Prerequisites
- You must have Microsoft Word (Office 365) installed.
- You need to be signed in with a Microsoft account that allows add-in installations.
- Internet access is required.
Steps to Install Lexis Create+ in Microsoft Word
Step 1: Open Microsoft Word
Launch Microsoft Word from your desktop or Start menu.
Step 2: Go to the “Home” Tab
At the top of the Word window, click on the Home tab in the ribbon.
Step 3: Click “Add-ins”
In the Home tab, locate and click on “Add-ins.”
Note: If the “Add-ins” button is missing or greyed out in the Home tab, this means your organization has disabled access to the Office Add-ins Store. Please contact your IT department to request plugin access.
Step 4: Search for Lexis Create+
In the Office Add-ins window, type “Lexis Create+” into the search bar and press Enter.
Note: If you see an error such as “Office Add-ins have been turned off by your admin” after clicking “Add-ins”, your access is restricted by policy. Reach out to your IT team to enable plugin installation or to install the plugin for you.
Step 5: Click “Add”
Once you find Lexis Create+, click the “Add” button next to it.
Note: If the Add-ins window opens but clicking “Add” results in an error or nothing happens, it may mean installation rights are blocked by your organization. Contact your IT department to request installation permissions or help with the plugin setup.
Step 6: Accept Permissions
A dialog box may appear asking for permissions. Click Continue or Accept.
Step 7: Access Lexis Create+
After installation, the Lexis Create+ tab or button will appear in the Home ribbon of Word.

Step 8: Sign In
Click the Lexis Create+ button and sign in using your LexisNexis credentials.
