As Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Ezra leads legal, compliance and risk strategy and execution at Travala.com in alignment with applicable laws and regulations while driving an impressive 85% Year-on-Year gross revenue growth. He procured the travel agent licence from the Singapore Tourism Board for Travala.com and previously worked with the Monetary Authority of Singapore to secure a payment services licence for Tazapay. 

These achievements demonstrate Ezra’s skill in working with regulators as well as in the growth industries of fintech and Web3.0. They required deft management of numerous stakeholders across multiple departments, ensuring seamless alignment between risk management strategies and business objectives. One of the most significant challenges he addresses is maintaining this balance within complex and dynamic ecosystems—navigating diverse stakeholder concerns amid an evolving and stringent global regulatory landscape. 

A key example of his strategic leadership is the guidance he provided to Travala.com during its high-impact partnership with Skyscanner, which expanded the company’s market reach and fortified its partnership network. Ezra’s visionary leadership fosters collaboration across legal, commercial, and technical teams. By mitigating risks and streamlining operations, he has been instrumental in optimising Travala.com’s overall performance. 

Beyond his role at Travala.com, Ezra is a highly regarded contributor to the legal industry, recognised for his incisive and creative thinking. He co-leads the SCCA Tech Chapter, an initiative advancing technology education and fostering collaboration between in-house counsel and the practising legal community. He also actively participates in the Singapore Academy of Law’s focus groups. Additionally, Ezra has served as a judge for the SCCA Legal Eagle Challenge and mentored young legal professionals through the APAC Tech Legal Externship 2023. 

Ezra is committed to professional development and regularly shares his expertise at prominent industry events, including speaking at the Asian Legal Business SE Asia In-House Legal Summit 2024, Pan Asian Regulatory and Anti-Corruption Compliance Summit 2024, and Singapore Academy of Law’s TechLaw Fest 2024. His contributions have earned him recognition as a finalist in the Asian Legal Business Southeast Asia Law Awards, where he was nominated for both In-House Lawyer of the Year (Technology) and Young Lawyer of the Year. 

In addition to his professional achievements, Ezra demonstrates a deep commitment to public welfare. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he founded hbb.sg, a marketplace supporting home-based businesses and self-employed individuals. He has also supported HCA Hospice as a donor, fundraiser, and active participant in its Charity Walkathon.
