In 2019, FAIZ, together with his partner, Tuan Muhammad Arief, founded Messrs Arief & Iskandar, a boutique law firm based in Kuala Lumpur. As the Managing Partner, FAIZ spearheaded the firm’s vision, direction and strategy in ensuring the sustainability of the business and continued growth of the firm. FAIZ’s areas of practice include commercial and civil litigation, adjudication and arbitration, fraud & asset recovery, defamation, company law & shareholders’ disputes, and employment law. He has represented a wide range of clients across various industries, including public listed companies, government-linked companies, high-net-worth individuals, and public figures alike.

Over the years, FAIZ’s strategic planning ensured the firm’s steady recovery from the global pandemic. FAIZ’s patience and steadfastness in managing the firm, coupled with his constant hunger for knowledge and sound decision-making abilities have proven to bring positive results. The year 2024 marks the firm’s 5th anniversary since its establishment, and FAIZ’s firm now consists of 13 people, with a total of 4 partners and a business development manager on board to explore new markets and opportunities in attracting and serving a wider range of clients. 

FAIZ is committed to nurturing talent, where he strives to provide a harmonious and constructive working environment for the members of the firm and encourages them to participate in professional development courses. FAIZ also empowers law students through the firm’s internship program. One of the highlights of the program is the firm’s speaker series, featuring prominent guest speakers from various fields to share their experience and insight. Beyond the firm, FAIZ had the opportunity of being called as a panelist to provide his insight on the law on Generational End Game (GEG), and for the KL Bar Talk on Setting Up a Law Firm. Recently, FAIZ was invited as a panelist for Business Development for Small Firms organized by Malaysian Bar. FAIZ also collaborated with other professional associations in charity events as a way to give back to society.
