Titus Yeo
Partner
Aquinas Law Alliance LLP

Titus Yeo is a corporate lawyer whose recent matters combine complex financing, public-company governance and cross-border investment. He advised a borrower on a facility extended by United Overseas Bank Limited of approximately S$23.9 million to finance the acquisition of a majority stake in a public (unlisted) company. Because the transaction included an element of financial assistance under the Companies Act, he guided the client through the required whitewash and related company-law compliance.

He also advised a company listed on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange on ratification of interested-party transactions involving a loan of up to US$132.5 million granted by its major shareholder. With prior shareholder approvals having inadvertently lapsed and  subsequent amendments to the loan documents made without prior shareholder approval, he had to work closely with the client and its continuing sponsor to ensure compliance with Catalist rules on an expedited timeline, to ensure that ongoing lapses are regularised as soon as possible.

Yeo is currently leading a proposed investment of up to US$184 million into a target group operating data centres in Indonesia, structuring the deal across preference shares, convertible bonds and shareholder loans. Given the cross-border nature, he leads communications with Indonesian counsel to align structuring options, investor protections and timelines. Across these mandates, he has navigated tight schedules, multiple stakeholders and overlapping approval requirements to keep transactions moving with discipline and clarity.

Beyond legal matters, Yeo contributes to team strength and client loyalty. He mentors practice trainees and junior associates—many of whom have subsequently been engaged as full-time associates—and invests in their development. Clients cite his diligence, attention to detail and commercial pragmatism and continue to return with repeat instructions, reinforcing the firm’s trusted-advisor relationships.

A proponent of continuous improvement, Yeo pursues adjacent learning in tax, accounting, valuation, personal-data regulation and related disciplines to broaden his transactional toolkit. He also adopts legal-technology platforms—including Litera for productivity and Tessaract for practice management—and encourages colleagues to use tools that streamline internal processes and service delivery. Yeo’s vision couples technical excellence with well-being: he emphasises mental health and sustainable workloads for juniors, maintains open communication on capacity and outcomes, and advocates for balance beyond work.
