LexisNexis Partners with the American Mock Trial Association to Support Future Law Students
Connects pre-law students with the resources they need to succeed before starting law school
April 10, 2015 — NEW YORK - LexisNexis® Legal & Professional and the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) have announced a partnership to furnish resources for undergraduate pre-law students participating in the AMTA’s Nationals tournament during the 2015-2016 competition seasons. The AMTA National Championship engages undergraduate students with trial simulations against teams from other institutions to prepare them for law school. This new partnership provides AMTA members with insight into what it is like to be a law student and the world-class legal research products that attorneys use in practice.
Members of The American Mock Trial Association now have access to a LexisNexis web page that previews the case subject matter for the national competition to be held in Cincinnati. This page prepares students for law school by offering a glimpse of what legal research entails. With access to Matthew Bender treatises and legal news articles from Law 360, users can review important analysis and background details for the National championship. Upon launch of the final tournament case, the page will host materials from Lexis Advance®, supplementing the topic.
