Librarian Relations Consultant Research Tip: Use Get a Doc Assistance to easily pull cases, statutes and more

Have a citation to a document or a docket number but not sure of the reporter or publisher abbreviation or format? Have one or more common party names? Get a Doc Assistance is a simple-to-use, template-driven feature on the Lexis Advance service that can be found above the Red Search Box.

Choose from one of the three options:

(1) By Citation allows you to choose the type of document as well as jurisdiction, including cases, statutes and regulations, legislation, administrative decisions, secondary materials and more.

(2) Cases by Party Name and (3) Cases by Docket Number allow you to choose the jurisdiction and add date restrictions.
