The General Practice module of Lexis Practice Advisor has added 15 new expert forms and five new practice notes to the Supply of Goods and Services topic, including state-specific independent contractor agreements and guidance on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Additionally, the Venture Capital Financing subtopic in the Business Financing topic added new startup formation content, with expert forms addressing the mechanics of conversion of partnership and limited liability companies to c-corporations and practice notes addressing startup formation considerations as well as the indemnification of officers and directors of a startup. The Real Estate module of Lexis Practice Advisor recently launched a Hotel Acquisition and Disposition topic, which includes a collection of expert checklists, structure charts and clauses as well as forms and practical guidance covering topics including structuring and planning, hotel purchase and sale agreements, and hotel financing. Included in this new topic is content by Day Pitney LLP, with additional Day Pitney content to be added in the coming months. The Real Estate module has continued to focus on expansion of jurisdictional content and now includes retail lease forms for 48 jurisdictions. Corporate and M&A
The Corporate and M&A module continues its push to cover more industry-specific issues, and has just added an article titled The Use of Equity Joint Ventures with China’s Automotive Industry by Patrick E. Mears of the University of Mannheim and Eric Wang of Alvarez & Marsal. The module is also continuing to add more content on trends and current awareness, and has just added an updated Market Trends article on Earn-outs in Public/Private Mergers based on analytics generated by Lexis® Market Tracker.
