Ninth Circuit Rules Against President On Issue Of Muslim Travel Ban -- Read The Court's Opinion
This evening the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals declined to overturn a lower district court's decision regarding President Trump's highly publicized Executive Order concerning immigration and travel in the U.S. and popularized in the media as the "Muslim Travel Ban.." The district court had made a preliminary finding that significant and ongoing harm was being inflicted on substantial numbers of people, to the detriment of the States, by means of an Executive Order that the States were likely to be able to prove was unlawful. The Ninth Circuit denied the government's emergency motion for a stay of that decision.
