N.Y. Federal Judge Dismisses Challenge To Birth Control Mandate; Claims Not Ripe

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A New York federal judge on April 12 granted the federal government's motion to dismiss a challenge to the birth control mandate contained in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), saying the claims are not ripe for review (Priests for Life v. Kathleen Sebelius, et al., No. 12-753, E.D. N.Y.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 55082).
