Matter of Valenzuela-Felix, Kaput?

IRAC summary: "In this unpublished decision, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) permitted the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to withdraw its appeal of an order terminating proceedings against the respondent.  In the decision below, on remand from the Board’s precedent decision in Matter of Valenzuela-Felix, 26 I&N Dec. 53 (BIA 2012), the immigration judge terminated proceedings after finding that bulk cash smuggling under 31 U.S.C. 5332 was not a crime involving moral turpitude." - Jaime Enrique Valenzuela-Felix, A034 590 205 (BIA Oct. 15, 2013).

University of Houston Immigration Clinic Director Geoffrey A. Hoffman reports: "Our clinic at the University of Houston assisted on this case with Mr. Vinesh Patel with the remanded proceedings and also, on appeal, before the DHS withdrew their appeal. I want to especially highlight the work of my students Leslie Crow and Veronica Bernal."
