"On December 4, 2020, the Executive Office for Immigration Review (“EOIR”) published a notice of proposed rulemaking (“NPRM” or “proposed rule”), proposing to amend EOIR’s regulations in order to implement electronic filing and records applications for all cases before the immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”). The NPRM also proposed amendments to the regulations regarding law student filing and accompaniment procedures. This final rule responds to comments received in response to the NPRM and adopts the NPRM with changes as described below. DATES: This rule is effective on February 11, 2022."
