New Appleman Law of Liability Insurance Released September 2010

The second edition of New Appleman Law of Liability Insurance was released in September. The Second Edition of New Appleman Law of Liability Insurance was reorganized to follow the work flow of insurance attorneys. The treatise starts with the general principles of liability insurance, the components of a liability policy and guides the user through homeowners’ liability, environmental and toxic torts, aviation liability; employment related claims and ends with strategic and tactical considerations including discovery and trial issues, subrogation, and declaratory judgments. New chapters such as Intellectual Property and Cybersecurity have been added. This chapter highlights the importance of two developing areas of insurance coverage law: intellectual property-based claims and cyber security-based claims. The second edition includes updated forms, pleadings and sample jury instructions where applicable.

The content of each chapter is also reorganized to quickly get inexperienced and experienced users alike to the correct information. An introductory scope section was added at the beginning of each chapter to give users a quick overview of each chapter. We have also created descriptive section headings for each chapter to make it easy to scan chapters and find the essential information you need. The footnotes highlight the jurisdiction of each case for easy reference. The Second Edition is also integrated with the Lexis electronic database providing search queries and strategies to find the most current cases on-point along with cross-references and links to other analytical materials such as checklists.
