Judge Grants Chevron's Motion To Dismiss Ecuador's Petition To Stay Arbitration

NEW YORK - An order granting a motion to dismiss petitions filed by the Republic of Ecuador and various plaintiffs to stay arbitration asserted against it by Chevron Corp. and Texaco Petroleum Co. (TexPet) pursuant to the U.N. Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) rules was filed in a New York federal court on March 16 (Republic of Ecuador v.
