Go to the Mealey's Daily News Community: http://www.lexisnexis.com/community/mealeys/ (If you are not already a member).
Create your log in by clicking on the "Sign in" link in the upper right corner, then a dropdown for registration will display:
You will be taken to the registration page where you may choose your username and password. Submit that information to complete your registration.
Once you are a registered user, you will be able to set your preferences for daily news updates.
Select "my page" from the functions near the top of the screen:
You will be taken to a page with a dropdown box titled "Mark Favorite Category" near the top. Select the down arrow to make the categories display.
Check as many legal topics as you would like. Currently, if you have selected Top Headlines and any practice area categories, if a story appears in both the top headlines section as well as a specific practice area (Insurance for our example) that story will appear multiple times in your daily news update. At some point in the near future, the daily e-mail will include topical titles for each segment, so your top headlines will appear, followed by a title for each practice area you have chosen, with the stories for that practice area displaying under the subject title. In the meantime, understand the reason for duplicate posts in the report.
Once you have selected your legal news categories, you will then be able to choose the frequency of reports. Most users select the daily option in order to receive notifications regularly and stay on top of breaking legal news.
Once you have made your selections, click the "signup-newsletter" button to save your preferences.
You will receive a prompt letting you know your selections have been saved. Posts from your selected categories should begin to display on this page below the sign up button, under the title "my favorite posts." It could take 24 hours for that section to populate the first time.
A downloadable copy of these instructions is attached to this post for your convenience.
