SAN FRANCISCO -- Steven E. Fineman, managing partner of Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein LLP, has congratulated Elizabeth J. Cabraser for her selection by the American Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession to receive a 2010 Margaret Brent Women Lawyers of Achievement Award. The award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of women lawyers who have excelled in their field and have paved the way to success for other women lawyers.
Cabraser was nominated for this award by numerous individuals, as well as by the Bar Association of San Francisco.
In addition to Cabraser, the 2010 Margaret Brent honorees include Brooksley E. Born, retired partner at Arnold & Porter LLP; Willie Stevenson Glanton, former Iowa state legislator; M. Margaret McKeown, judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; and Laura Stein, senior vice president and general counsel, The Clorox Co. The awards will be presented on Aug. 8, 2010, during the ABA convention in San Francisco.
