Federal Judge Abstains From Hearing Legal Malpractice Coverage Suit

CAMDEN, N.J. - A New Jersey federal judge on March 12 found that abstention from hearing an insurer's declaratory judgment lawsuit challenging coverage for an underlying legal malpractice action is appropriate, dismissing without prejudice to the insurer's refiling in a New Jersey court (Evanston Insurance Company v. Van Syoc Chartered, et al., No. 10-6791 (JBS/AMD), D. N.J., 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 33330).
