GREENBELT, Md. - A Maryland federal judge on March 13 conditionally certified a class of nursing home employees in an action alleging unpaid wages, finding that the plaintiffs "have made a modest factual showing that they were victims of a common policy or scheme" in violation of federal law (Belad Liku Diana Essame, et al. v. SSC Laurel Operating Company LLC, No. 8:10-cv-03519, D. Md.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 31901).
