Judge Allows Majority Of Securities Suit Against Goldman Sachs To Proceed

NEW YORK - A federal judge in New York on March 21 substantially denied defendants' motions to dismiss a securities class action lawsuit against The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., one of its subsidiaries and others for alleged federal securities law violations in the marketing and structuring of two offerings of collateralized debt obligations (CDOs), ruling that the lead plaintiff has properly pleaded all but its market manipulation claims against certain defendants (Dodona I, LLC v. Goldman, Sachs & Co., et al., No. 10-7497, S.D. N.Y.).
