Defense Summary Judgment Granted In Vermont Lawsuit Alleging Failure To Warn

RUTLAND, Vt. - The manufacturer of a heating element used to insulate wire with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) was granted summary judgment March 23 in a U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont personal injury lawsuit because, the trial judge concluded, the plaintiff failed to establish as a matter of Vermont law that the manufacturer owed a duty to warn to an employee of the sophisticated purchaser of the heating element (Cory Wilson v. Glenro Inc., No. 10-185, D. Vt.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 40068).
