Federal Judge: Defendant In Student Loan Case Fails To Show He's Not Indebted

NEW ORLEANS - A federal judge in Louisiana on March 22 granted the United States summary judgment against a defendant who defaulted on a student loan, rejecting the debtor's arguments that he was never given notice of the default and that summary judgment would be premature (United States of America v. Roth,  No. 11-00107, E.D. La.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 38801).
