Anti-Assignment Provision Bars Reimbursement Claim Against Health Care Fund

PEORIA, Ill. - An Illinois federal magistrate judge on March 23 granted summary judgment in favor of a health care fund in a reimbursement dispute, saying the action was barred against the fund based on an anti-assignment of benefit provision contained in the health plan at issue (OSF Healthcare Systems v. Amanda Weatherford, et al., No. 10-1400, C.D. Ill.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 40021).
