Federal Judge Partially Dismisses Suit Alleging Student Loan Monopoly

PADUCAH, Ky. - A federal judge in Kentucky on March 26 granted in part a defendant student loan lender's motion to dismiss a suit in which the plaintiffs say the dean of a defunct law school and the lender enriched themselves by making the lender the exclusive source for student loans at the school (Brown, et al. v. Student Loan X-Press, et al.,  No. 11-00090, W.D. Ky.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 40878).
