BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Curtis Jackson, previously known as rapper 50 Cent, defeated copyright infringement claims levied against him by a fellow hip-hop artist when a New York federal judge on March 23 granted dismissal pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b)(6) (Tyrone Simmons v. William C. Stanberry, et al., , et al., No. 10-5815, E.D. N.Y.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 40150).
