Split Ark. High Court Rejects Law Barring Sex Between Teacher And Adult Student

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - A split Arkansas Supreme Court on March 29 rejected a state statute that allows a teacher to be charged with second-degree sexual assault for engaging in a sexual relationship with a student who is between 18 and 20 years old (David Waldon Paschal v. State of Arkansas, No. CR 11-673, Ark. Sup.; 2012 Ark. LEXIS 158).
