Federal Judge Dismisses Claims Under Louisiana Direct Action Statute

NEW ORLEANS - A Louisiana federal judge on April 2 dismissed claims against an insurer under the Louisiana Direct Action Statute and under the Michigan Uniform Trade Practices Act, but allowed a claim for aiding and abetting a breach of fiduciary duty to stand (Versai Management Corporation, et al. v. Progressive Casualty Insurance Company, No. 11-2717 SECTION I, E.D. La.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 46757).
