Judge Dismisses Several Claims From Bank Of America Credit Protection Plan Suit

SAN FRANCISCO - A federal judge in California on April 3 granted in part and denied in part a motion to dismiss filed by Bank of America Corp. and its subsidiary FIA Card Services NA in a multidistrict litigation alleging that the bank charged customers for a credit protection plan they did not consent to join (In re: Bank of America Credit Protection Marketing & Sales Practices Litigation, No. 11-md-02269, N.D. Calif.).
