Panel Says North Carolina Does Not Recognize Holder Claims By Shareholders

RALEIGH, N.C. - Affirming a lower court's dismissal of a shareholder suit against a bank and certain of its directors, a North Carolina appellate panel said April 3 that North Carolina does not recognize claims regarding holding on to a stock based on certain allegedly false company disclosures (Estate of Robert E. Browne, III, et al. v. G. Kennedy Thompson, et al.,  No. COA 11-852, N.C. App.; 2012 N.C. App. LEXIS 439).
