BATON ROUGE, La. - A former insurance company worker's disability discrimination claims fail because she did not show that her irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) caused her to be disabled within the meaning of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a Louisiana federal judge held April 5 in granting summary judgment to the woman's former employer (Christine Deeds v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, No. 10-142, M.D. La.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 48341).
