Judge Appoints Pension Fund Lead Plaintiff In Drug Company Shareholder Suit

CHICAGO - Finding that a pension fund's pleadings were superior to those of other movants, a federal judge in Illinois on April 13 appointed the pension fund as lead plaintiff in a shareholder derivative lawsuit against a drug company that allegedly had marketed a drug for uses for which it had not been approved (Chester County Employees' Retirement Fund, derivatively on behalf of nominal defendant Abbott Laboratories Inc. v. Miles D. White, et al.,  No. 11-cv-08114, N.D. Ill.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 51932).
