Hawaii Federal Judge Finds Evidence Navy Prevented Warnings, Denies Remand

HONOLULU - Suppliers of asbestos-containing products successfully establish a colorable federal defense by demonstrating that the Navy prohibited warnings and knew of the dangers, a Hawaii federal judge held April 16 in denying remand (Douglas P. Leite and Mary Ann K. Leite v. Crane Co.,  No. 11-00636, D. Hawaii; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 52861).
