9th Circuit Reverses; Rent Proceeds Do Not Belong In Bankruptcy Estate

SAN FRANCISCO - A panel of the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on April 23 partially reversed and remanded a bankruptcy court's ruling and concluded that rental proceeds from a property owned by a debtor's husband were not part of the bankruptcy estate (John M. Wolfe v. Myrna Jacobson $(In Re: Myrna Jacobson$), No. 10-60040, Chapter 7, 9th Cir.; 2012 U.S. App. LEXIS 8103).
