Mining Company Ordered To Reinstate Worker, Halt Anti-Union Efforts

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. - An Illinois federal judge on April 30 barred a mining company from discriminating against workers for supporting a labor union and ordered the company to reinstate an employee who the National Labor Relations Board says was fired because of his pro-union activities (Claude T. Harrell, Jr., v. Big Ridge, Inc., No. 12-40, S.D. Ill.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 59559).
