4th Circuit Adopts Predicate-Act Doctrine In Copyright Case

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - A Virginia federal judge did not err in finding that two defendants committed copyright infringement and conversion by stealing blueprints for mining tires and then reproducing those tires internationally for domestic sale, the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals ruled June 6 in a divided decision (Tire Engineering & Distribution LLC et al. v.
