PASADENA, Calif. - Citing the Second Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals' recent ruling in Viacom International v. YouTube Inc. (676 F.3d 19 (2nd Cir. 2012)), a Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on June 7 ordered supplemental briefing on "(t)he difference between actual and red flag knowledge" under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in considering a group of record labels' petition for rehearing in a copyright infringement case against an online video-sharing website (UMG Recordings, Inc., et al. v.
