Building's Water Damage Not Covered By Policy, Judge Finds, But Collapse Might Be

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Even though a Rhode Island federal judge on June 5 concluded that the claimed water damage to an apartment building was precluded under a commercial property policy's exclusion, she found that the provisions of a "collapse" exclusion were ambiguous and denied judgment to either party on that point (Rita Scorpio v. Underwriters at Lloyd's London,  No. 1:10-cv-00325, D. R.I.; 2012 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 77751).
