3rd Circuit Rules Trustee's Objection Timely; Value Of Exemptions Is Zero

PHILADELPHIA - A panel of the Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on Aug. 6 ruled that a trustee's objections to the exemptions claimed by a debtor couple were filed in a timely manner and that a bankruptcy court properly ruled that the value of the exemptions was zero (In Re: Stergios T. Messina, et al.,  No. 11-1426, Chapter 7, 3rd Cir.; 2012 U.S. App. LEXIS 16289).
