English Justice Stays Issue Of Liability In Widow's Meso Action

LONDON - An English justice on Nov. 5 refused to enter a judgment accepting that a man's former employer was 99 percent liable for his mesothelioma death and stayed the issue of liability until the terms of a settlement offer made by his widow and the issue of costs can be determined under the appropriate civil procedure rule (Margaret Jolly [acting as Widow and Executrix of the Estate of her late husband, Stephen Arthur] v. Harsco Infrastructure Services Ltd., No. [2012] EWHC 3086 [QB], England and Wales High, QBD).
