FTC, Google Settle Antitrust Claims Related To Patents, Searches

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Chairman Jon Liebowitz of the Federal Trade Commission announced Jan. 3 that the agency is settling charges against Google Inc. for alleged anti-competitive conduct related to Google's misuse of patent protection and that it is closing its investigation of claims that Google unfairly biases its search results (In the Matter of Motorola Mobility LLC, and Google Inc., FTC File No. 121-0120; Google Inc., FTC File No. 111-0163).
