Federal Judge Partially Dismisses FDIC Action Against Escrow Agent

CHICAGO - A federal judge in Illinois on March 4 dismissed two counts from a suit the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. filed as the receiver for a failed bank alleging that an escrow agent breached its contract and fiduciary duty related to four property closings (Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. v. Chicago Title Insurance Co., et al., No. 12-5198, N.D. Ill.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 29816).
