Louisiana Court Finds Mold Claims Are Excluded Under Policy

BATON ROUGE, La. - A Louisiana appeals court on April 22 affirmed a trial court's ruling that granted summary judgment in favor of an insurer, finding that a homeowner's mold-related claims were excluded under his insurance policy (Kevin O. Ainsworth, individually and as administrator of the Estate of His minor children, et al. v. Tri Star Builders L.L.C., The Maryland Casualty Insurance Co., et al., No. 2012 CA 0691; 2013 La. App. Unpub. LEXIS 257).
