New Jersey City Police Officers Seek Certification Of Overtime Claims

NEWARK, N.J. - Police officers employed by East Orange, N.J., on May 30 moved for certification of their collective action, alleging that they were improperly denied overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the New Jersey State Wage and Hour Law (NJWHL) (Stephen Rochester, et al. v. City of East Orange, No. 12-5988, D. N.J.).
