11th Circuit Affirms Dismissal Of 'Duty-To-Supply' Lawsuit In Vitamin A Shortage

ATLANTA - An 11th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals panel on June 7 affirmed without comment dismissal with prejudice of a lawsuit in which a plaintiff alleged that drug manufacturer Hospira Inc. had an obligation to patients to supply them with injectable vitamin A they need to treat a rare deficiency (Jennifer Lacognata, et al. v. Hospira, Inc., No. 12-14078, 11th Cir.).
