LAKE CHARLES, La. - Even assuming arguendo that a broker's actions could be imputed to an insurer, a veterinary clinic insured's lawsuit seeking coverage for damages caused by Hurricane Gustav is perempted, a Louisiana federal judge ruled June 5, granting the insurer's motion for final summary judgment (Southwest Veterinary Services Inc. v. Hartford Casualty Insurance Co., No. 2:12-CV-2281, W.D. La., Lake Charles Div.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 80667).
