Texas Appeals Panel Remands Gas Pipeline Contract Dispute To Austin District Court

AUSTIN, Texas - A Third District Texas Court of Appeals panel on June 18 remanded a contract dispute between a natural gas producer and the pipeline company that delivers the gas to a third-party processor; the panel concluded that the trial judge erred by granting the pipeline company declaratory judgments on extension of the contract and the authority to charge compression fees (Michael D. Lillis v. Kachina Pipeline Co. Inc., No. 10-784, Texas App., 3rd Dist.).
