DALLAS - A federal judge in Texas on July 5 granted in part Branch Banking & Trust Co.'s (BB&T) motion to consider a motion for final summary judgment timely filed in a suit BB&T, as the successor to the failed Colonial Bank, brought to recover on defaulted loans (Branch Banking & Trust Co. v. William K. Wells, No. 10-2238, N.D. Texas; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 94081).
