Bank Is Holder In Due Course, Federal Judge Determines

PORTLAND, Ore. - A federal judge in Oregon on July 8 granted summary judgment to Home Federal Bank, which acquired a loan from a failed bank, disagreeing with the borrower's argument that Home Federal is not a holder in due course (Home Federal Bank v. Marilyn A. Gibbs, et al., No. 12-1720, D. Ore.; 2013 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 94696).
